End-of-Year Giving Campaign
This December, we are launching the 2024 End-of-Year Giving Campaign, a chance for corporations and business leaders to invest in Kentucky’s future. By joining this effort, you will help us build a Commonwealth that is the best place in the nation to work, do business, and raise a family. Kentucky’s success depends on a strong workforce, a resilient economy, and leaders committed to making a lasting impact. Together, we can ensure a brighter future for all Kentuckians.
In 2024, the Kentucky Chamber Foundation:
- Continued advancing Talent Pipeline Management (TPM®), connecting 1,100 Kentuckians to jobs, training, and work-based learning opportunities through employer collaboratives and growing numerous initiatives through our network of almost 700 employers.
- Hosted the inaugural Statewide Workforce and Talent Team (SWATT) Convening in December, uniting workforce leaders, businesses, and partners from across Kentucky to improve coordination and create innovative solutions for economic growth.
- Provided 40 principals, representing 19,500 students from 29 counties, the opportunity to participate in the Leadership Institute for School Principals program.
- Collaborated with state partners to expand the Fair Chance Academy, training over 146 employers through six regional workshops on hiring individuals with justice involvement or from the recovery community.
- Launched the Kentucky Collaborative on Child Care, where more than 30 stakeholders from across the Commonwealth have come together to focus on ways to build consensus and find solutions to child care issues.
- Expanded the Foundation’s academy-style training model with the Military Hiring Academy, which trained almost 60 employers on best practices to find, hire, and retain military talent (veterans, service members leaving the military, and military spouses). In 2025, alongside these, we will launch two new programs – the Disability Hiring Academy and New Kentuckian Hiring Academy.
Engaged over 825 students through the Bus to Business® program to bring “classrooms to careers,” providing exposure to in-demand jobs, internships, or apprenticeships across Kentucky. - Involved over 300 educators and counselors through the Educator’s Guide to Industry program, which connects educators to employers by showcasing Kentucky’s top industries and equips educators to better prepare students for workforce transitions, supporting Kentucky’s economic growth.
- Provided 50 first-generation college students in the new Rising Leaders Program with hands-on leadership training and facilitated employer connections for paid internship opportunities across the state.
- Hosted the third National Civics Bee® Kentucky State Finals, where middle schoolers from across the Commonwealth submitted essays on community challenges and solutions and then competed in a live quiz bowl competition. We also cheered on Kentucky State Champion Ava June T. at the first-ever National Civics Bee in Washington, D.C.
- Connected over 1,000 certified minority-owned businesses with nearly 2,745 Kentuckians who used our Minority-Owned Business Database to diversify their supply chains.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to the Kentucky Chamber Foundation.
Together, we can look forward to an even more successful 2025, filled with new opportunities and accomplishments that will benefit Kentucky's businesses, workforce, and communities.
