Xerox leader to speak at Chamber’s Business Summit

Burns, Ursula-cmyk-2016-180x185.jpgUrsula Burns, Chairman and CEO of Xerox Corporation, has been confirmed as a keynote speaker for the Kentucky Chamber’s Business Summit on July 15. 

Burns became the first African-American woman to lead a Fortune 500 corporation when she was named Chairman of Xerox in 2010. She is a board director of the American Express Corporation, Exxon Mobil Corporation and the Ford Foundation. 

 

In 2009, U.S. President Barack Obama appointed Burns to help lead the White House national program on STEM, and she was appointed chair of the President’s Export Council in 2015 after service as vice chair since 2010. Burns holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York University and a master of science degree in mechanical engineering from Columbia University.

 

Now in its 11th year, the Business Summit and Annual Meeting is scheduled for July 14 and 15 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.
